Action Alert
Dear friends,
Palestine Children’s Welfare Fund is pleased to announce that it was able to obtain more than 1.5 Million U.S dollars worth of medicine from several Europe based pharmaceutical companies.  The medicine includes multivitamins, antibiotics, diabetes medicine and other critical items for the children and the elderly in Palestine.  We were able to ship several boxes last month to hospitals and social institutions in Palestine and plan do more during the summer.  Along with the medicine shipments, PCWF arranged for two doctors to visit Palestine and will be coordinating mobile units with local medical organizations to offer the children and the elderly free checkups and to provide free of charge medicine and vaccines.
As you know such an aggressive effort in these difficult days in Palestine requires funding and the payment of steep shipping cost since the medicine must be delivered in cold air freight to ensure its integrity and safety.  We would like to ask your support in making small donations as little as ten dollars if possible towards the shipping cost of this medicine and to forward this message to your friends and colleagues and to ask them to help us give the children in Palestine a helping hand.  Donations can be made online through our website or send a check to favoring pcwf to our address, both listed on the bottom of this message.  We can also provide you with the name of the shipping company so that donors can make checks directly to the shipping company so that we can expedite the shipments that the hospitals in Palestine critically need.
Looking forward to hearing from you and SHUKRAN again for your generosity, work and support for the children in Palestine and your concern for them.

“Every now and again a literary work changes the way people think. Abulhawa, 2003 winner of the Edna Andrade Fiction and Creative Nonfiction Award, has crafted a brilliant first novel about Palestine.
